I applied the latest CS 9.0 bundle, but the CS 9.2 upgrade image source was built on the earlier bundle. What should I do?

Attention Campus Solutions Users,

if you have this dilemma or question above, for example, you applied CS 9.0 bundle 44, and you are planning to upgrade to CS 9.2 using a re-certified upgrade image 1 which is an equivalent to bundle 43.  What this means is that you are going to upgrade to an earlier maintenance level and will be at risk of getting new objects overwritten.

Yep, that's a legit concern.  The good news is that we now have two newly created upgrade docs on how to overcome this issue.

Here is how to get them:

1. Go to PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Upgrade Home Page (Doc ID 2078564.2)
2. Click on CS 9.0 to 9.2 (Through Update Image 3) Tab
3. From the dropdown list, click on Upgrade Documentation and Templates

PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 Re-certified Upgrade With Image 3 Now Available

Oracle’s PeopleSoft applications have evolved over time. Oracle’s commitment to our customers, the PeopleSoft suite of applications, and creating best-in-class products remains steadfast. First released in 12/2015, Campus Solutions 9.2 provides expanded functionality, usability, and reduced cost of ownership. In order to provide our global customer base with sustained upgrade support, Oracle plans to re-certify the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0 to 9.2 Upgrade in January 2017. At that time, we plan to release the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 Upgrade Source image CS 9.2.001 containing up to and including Update Image 3. Campus Solutions 9.2 re-certified upgrades are targeted to be delivered once each calendar year. Please refer to the details below for further important information.

Minimum Requirements for Upgrading:
Customers using Campus Solutions Upgrade Source Image 9.2.001 will need to be on minimum Campus Solutions 9.0, Bundle #34, HRMS Bundle #25 and PeopleTools 8.54 or higher before commencing their upgrade. In addition, customers must also have completed the Campus Solutions/HCM split prior to upgrading.

Maintenance Equivalency After Upgrade:
Upgrading to Campus Solutions 9.2 using upgrade image 9.2.001 will take customers to the equivalent of Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM Image 3 (CS 9.2.003).  Campus Solutions 9.2 PUM Image 3 is equivalent to Campus Solutions 9.0 Bundle #43.

Multi-Language Capability:
The CS 9.2.001 Upgrade Source Image will include Translations for:
Arabic, Spanish, English - UK, French, French - Canadian, Korean, Turkish, Dutch, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

New Customers for Campus Solutions 9.2:
New Campus Solutions 9.2 customers on PeopleTools 8.55 must use the Campus Solutions VCD (virtual CD) available on edelivery.oracle.com. Select Release: PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2, and the appropriate platform.

Important: Do NOT select the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2 Update Image on edelivery.oracle.com. The new install source will be denoted by PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2.0.1.0. An update image, or PUM image, on edelivery.oracle.com will be denoted by ‘PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Update Image x (9.2.0.x.0)
